Institutional Memory
SN as a Learning Organization keeps both printed
and electronic documentation of its critical learning. Learning
is gathered through action research in the community, process
consultancy and capacity growth training initiatives. Staff
persons frequently share these learning and apply the KSA
gained to their practical situation. They also share these
learning with stakeholders and wider public through workshop,
seminars, papers, reports, booklets, manuals and electronic
web page. A well stocked library, photo documentation and
computer documentation helps this important component. The
library is a well equipped resource center where one can
find books on various topics and issues relating to women,
children, gender, studies on NGOs, community development,
Peace building, Action Research, environment, education,

efforts contextualised in field activities. Such publications
will follow a multi-media approach including better use
of emails and internet facilities including the web page
